Is MPC safe for downhole equipment and casing?
Yes. The reaction is controlled and designed to occur at safe temperature and pressure levels within the casing and reservoir. Treatment planning includes detailed evaluation of well design, materials, and equipment to ensure compatibility and operational safety.
How long does the effect of MPC treatment last?
The typical duration of the effect ranges from 8 to 20 months, depending on reservoir characteristics and operating conditions. In most cases, operators see a payback period of 2 to 5 months due to the immediate increase in production.
What types of wells are suitable for MPC treatment?
MPC is highly effective in:
Mature or low-productivity wells
Heavy oil and high-viscosity reservoirs

Unlike traditional methods, MPC does not rely on external pressure or mechanical fracturing. It creates controlled thermal-chemical reactions inside the well and reservoir that:
Melt and mobilize heavy components (e.g., paraffins, asphaltenes, bitumen)
Clean the near-wellbore zone
Reopen closed pores and remove skin
Improve reservoir connectivity
This makes it suitable for wells and formations where conventional stimulation may be ineffective or risky.
